| IFPis a not-for-profit service organization dedicated to providing resources, information and avenues of communication for its members: independent filmmakers, industry professionals and independent film enthusiasts.
Now in its fourth year, the IFP/LA Screenwriters Lab is sponsored by
the Writers Guild of America, west. The lab is designed to help screenwriters working in independent film to
improve their craft and develop their voice as writers.
Each lab participant also has one-on-one meetings with two lab advisors, who read and provide notes on the participants’
scripts. Past instructors include Mardik Martin, Howard Suber, Barbara Turner, and Lee David
Zlotoff.
