Rules:
Unproduced scripts only please.
Any length acceptable. Email a PDF
file of your script with the name and address on the cover page only
so that the script can be reviewed anonymously.
PDF is the only format accepted.
Format Requirements
- Short screenplays can be any
length up to 20 pages.
- Television screenplays either
(23-27 pages) or (42-52 pages)
- Screenplays which are feature
length (approximately 90 to 130 pages), should be typed (12-point
Courier font) in standard speculation screenplay format.
- If you
are in doubt about proper speculation format, consult The
Screenwriter's Bible by David Trottier (800) 264-4900 or check
with your local library before submitting.
- Overly poor formatting will result
in disqualification.
- DO NOT put your name or address
anywhere other than on the cover, title page.
- No nonstandard scripts, shooting
scripts, shorts, novels or short stories.
- No additional materials including
but not limited to, illustrations, letters, synopsis, musical
scores, audio cassettes or cds, cast lists, resumes, etc. should
be included with your submission. Please, no special packaging
gimmicks.
Judging
- Judging will be performed by
professional industry readers who will read up to at least page 30
of each script.
- The decision of the judges is
final.
- The winner will be chosen by the
panel.
Application Process
- Do not send original copies of the
script.
- Entries cannot be returned.
- Please email a PDF of the script
