The Washington DC Independent Film Festival celebrates the vision, the creativity and the highest level of independent filmmaking from both local and international filmmakers.
This year’s festival takes a look at “The Politics of Film” and includes a more diversified program than ever. More than a hundred films will be presented over 11 days with themes including CineLatino, Women, DC Filmmakers, International (Africa & the Middle East) and Social Issues (the Black Experience, Going Green and Native American).
Film enthusiasts will also be treated to a wide variety of genres ranging from comedy to horror, as well as Q&A sessions with filmmakers, an Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill and seminars conducted by industry experts, award-winning writer/producers and world-renowned independent filmmakers.
