Cinematography Workshop, Burbank California An intensive, 6-day program geared towards technical and artistic aspects of Film and Digital Cinematography. This workshop is for intermediate level cinematographers but beginners are welcomed as they will be given special attention. All camera and lighting people (Cam Assistants, Gaffers, Grips), who desire to advance into the role of Director of Photography are encouraged to apply. Program is about Visual Expression: Lighting, Exposure, Camera Movement and Operating. Students work with professional equipment each having executed elaborate dolly shot ("360 Dolly" and/or "Vertigo") for her/his Demo Reel. The uniqueness of this program is that it fuses Technical with Artistic with decisive emphasize on visual eloquence in cinematic expression. Students start with shooting Film tests and learn about expressive potential of different Focal Length Lenses. They learn about Lighting Styles and nuances of Exposure, which are later applied to create Mood with Lighting.
