FilmMakers
Magazine:
What inspired you to write?
Lance Bradley: I've always loved to tell stories and I felt the
screen was the best place for that.
FilmMakers Magazine: What did you do to prepare yourself to write your first script?
Lance Bradley: I read a couple of screenwriting books and
attended classes and seminars.
FilmMakers Magazine: Is this your first script and how long did it take you to complete?
Lance Bradley: This is not my first screenplay and it took me
about two years to complete.

Lance Bradley:
Yes, I sit down at ten a.m. and try to write for at least five hours a
day.
FilmMakers Magazine: Do you believe screenplay contests are important for aspiring
screenwriters and why?
Lance Bradley: Yes, I think it is a great way to get recognized
and winning provides confidence.
FilmMakers Magazine: What influenced you to enter the
FilmMakers International Screenwriting Awards?
Lance Bradley: A yahoo search.
FilmMakers Magazine: What script would you urge aspiring writers to read and why?
Lance Bradley: Clerks, because Kevin Smith has a talent for
writing dialogue and it's hard to write like you talk.

a part of almost everyones life here and I grew up my whole life
playing.

Lance Bradley: Sam Raimi, I'm just a big fan of all his work. I
love his third installment of the Evil Dead series, Army of Darkness.
I think he is a precise director and on the money with all of his
shots. He has a easy going style, you always see him smiling on set,
and he always finds a way to get what he wants from his actors.
FilmMakers

Lance Bradley: I would love to work with Edward Norton. I think
he is a very special actor and always delivers a great performance.

better you get.

write.
