The Broadcast Education Association National Student Scriptwriting Competition is designed to promote and recognize outstanding student scripts in the categories of feature film, short film and television series.
Scripts may be submitted in one of three categories: Feature Film, Television Series, or Short Film. |
|
Notification
Date: April 2009. |
|
Eligibility:
Each entrant must be a registered student, either full- or part-time, either undergraduate or graduate, in any U.S. college, university, or community/technical college, or in any BEA member institution anywhere in the world, in calendar year 2003/2004 (graduates in spring or summer 2003 are not eligible). |
|
Rules:
All entrants must submit THREE (3) paper copies of their scripts to the Competition Coordinator (see below). Because the scripts are judged blindly, the entrant's name and identifying information should appear ONLY on the entry form. No personal information should appear on the script OR on the cover page. The scripts will NOT be returned. Each script must be written in English and conform to the appropriate format for its category (e.g., screenplay, sitcom, etc.). All scripts must use standard industry script binding: three-hole punched with brass brads in the top and bottom holes.
Student Fee is $25.00 per entry. |
