managers. Many entrants will receive writing software, books, and

Lighthouse Screenplay competition was established to allow
screenwriters another venue to get scripts read by industry
professionals: win prizes, obtain script production offers, and
receive feedback from accomplished directors and producers. |

Eligibility:
Any screenplay may be entered for the
competition in any genre: drama, horror, comedy, action, thriller,
suspense, teen, children, family. Screenplays will be judged on
creative concept, character development, script arch, and overall
writing. All screenplays must be submitted in hardcopy (printed)
version. All screenplays must be full length features (at least 70
pages). |

Rules:
1. All screenplays must be submitted
in hardcopy (printed) version.
2. All screenplays must be full length features (at least 70 pages).
3. All screenplays must be submitted with official entry form (found
on website).
4. All screenplays must be submitted with entry fee of $45.00 (check
or money order).
5. All screenplays must be submitted in English, or copy with
English translation.
6. All screenplays submitted must be original work of entrant.
6a. If your work is an adaptation from a book or novel, you must
submit with your entry form a letter of permission from the original
source author or publisher.
6b. If your work is a compilation of a biography or real life story,
you must submit with your entry form a letter of permission from the
person or person(s) it is about.
7. All screenplays must be completed work, not works in progress.
8. All writers must be at least eighteen years of age, or have
parental permission.
9. Co-written materials must be submitted by only one of the
writers.
9a. If a co-written screenplay is chosen as the winner, Co-writers
will split Cash prizes.
10. No refunds of entry fees will be given for any reason.
11. Screenplays submitted will not be returned (please do not send
original copies).
12. Once an entry is made, it is final, no new drafts or versions of
scripts will be allowed.
13. You may not enter screenplays that have been previously sold,
optioned, or produced.
14. Writers may enter as many screenplays as they wish (separate
entry for each screenplay).
15. All materials (screenplay, entry form, and fee) must be mailed
by June 30, 2007 to: |
