Write a screenplay or story suitable for production as a digitally animated film of approximately five minutes in length. The winning entry will be considered for production by students of the Academy of Media Arts at Cerro Coso College and entry into animation festivals and contests; if produced, the author will receive production credit and several copies of the film. In the event of commercial interest, negotiations will include CCAMA and the author. The first place winner will be required to sign a disclaimer before the animation process begins warranting that the work is original and does not infringe on any other party's copyright.

Eligibility:
Open to all writers worldwide except members of the Cerro Coso Academy of Media Arts, members of their family or households.
Rules:
Submissions must be typed double-spaced or in standard screenplay format on white paper with pages numbered consecutively and accompanied by a 3x5 card indicating the author's name and contact number (address, phone number and/or email address). Author identification should not appear elsewhere on the submission. Ridge Writers, the East Sierra Branch of the California Writers Club, reserves the right to cancel the contest and refund entry fees if fewer than 30 submissions are received. If more are received but if in the sole discretion of the Cerro Coso Academy of Media Arts there is no entry suitable for animation, cash prizes will be awarded but the film will not be produced.
