A college
student is stuck in a sort of perpetual dream loop, continually waking to
the sound of his alarm, only to find every time that the alarm and the
waking were themselves just a dream. He is initially annoyed at having to
drag himself out of bed over and over to shower and brush his teeth, but
after a few rounds of this he becomes comfortable with the situation and
begins to take advantage of being in a dream. He does things he would
never or could never do in his real life. As he becomes more daring in his
dream exploits, he loses sight of the fact that, sooner or later, he will
genuinely wake from his dream. His growing negligence threatens not only
his own life, but the life of a classmate he encounters while in a state
of unconscious consciousness.
