When young,
rebellious, COREY JOHNSON is sent to stay with his grandparents, his
grandfather, SKIP, reads him a fairy tale story--about a Sweeney Todd type
character in Harlem.
A dark, ominous cloud hung over the city. The barber in this tale doled
out vigilante justice in an effort to cleanse the community of its
evildoers. Even his wife was involved in the sinner control. In the end,
the murderer, AUGUST SWEENEY, was brought to justice. The point of the
story is that even a murderer can still be redeemed.
When the story finishes, Corey is shocked to discover that his grandfather
has been reading from a blank book. He looks from his window and sees a
dark cloud over Harlem and a mysterious figure in the street. Was that a
fairy tale -- or a warning?
