| A native Texan, Tracie Laymon began working on films as a production assistant in Austin, TX in 1998 and since then has gone on as an assistant director, production manager and producer on dozens of other projects. She considers herself a writer more than anything and hopes to make a living writing features. "Up" is her directorial debut and consists of excerpted scenes from her first feature-length screenplay, also entitled "Up".
