Biography
Originally founded as Cyclone Productions, as a freelance film and video production company, Cyclone Entertainment Group has since grown to form several distinct divisions. Still its leading division, Cyclone Productions, Inc. continues to sponsor the world-renowned screenwriting contest, The Screenwriter's Project, held annually. The Screenwriter's Project, now entering its eighth year, was designed to give the screenwriter the ability to further his or her career through monetary grants and guidance, allowing the screenwriter to further develop his or her talent. Cyclone Productions also intends to produce the finest of the submissions to The Screenwriter's Project. Cyclone Productions also recently produced the film "Lizzie", a voyeuristic feature-length thriller, which has already received much notoriety despite the secretive plotline.
Another division, Cyclone Music, Inc., includes: Cyclone Records, is a well-established record label in the Chicago area, and Castle and Alan Publishing, a full-service music publisher. The talent division, Cyclone Talent & Management, represents writers, musicians, and actors.
Lee Alan, who is also a screenwriter, is continually developing scripts by both himself and other authors. Many Hollywood insiders consider him as one of the best unproduced screenwriters working today. Lee’s appreciation for independent film has also led him to a continuing position with the Newport Beach International Film Festival, which takes place annually in Newport Beach, California.
In addition to the feature film "Lizzie", Lee recently produced, directed, photographed, and edited a music video for Cyclone Records own Pivot Man, for the band's song "To Breed Again". Lee also recently completed a television special entitled "Mike Hammer, Underground Magician". This special combines the live show of Chicago's number-one magician, Mike Hammer, with some impromptu street performances for casual on-lookers on the streets of Chicago.
Lee intends to keep his focus on feature film production, with two features in the works by other writers. He also continues to work on several of his own screenplays which are certain to be as original and unique as “Lizzie”.
