Synopsis
Dylan Chase's life is marked by two significant events. The first was the heart transplant he had when he was ten years old. The second was seeing the lifeless body of his heart donor, a nine year old girl killed in a tragic car accident.

Years later a violent motorcycle accident sends Dylan into a surreal near death experience, in which he is brought face to face with Gabrielle, the angelic spirit of his heart donor. Appearing to Dylan as a grown woman, Gabrielle tells Dylan that it is their destiny to be together in the afterlife. But, Dylan isn't ready for this fate. Running from Gabrielle, Dylan is brought back to life.

Only things aren't the same as when he left. After a string of bizarre incidents, Dylan discovers he woke up in an alternate destiny. A destiny where he wasn't in a motorcycle accident, his heart transplant never happened and Gabrielle survived that tragic car accident. Oblivious to her previous destiny, Gabrielle is hardened by life experiences and haunted by a despairing past. Desperate to make some sense out of this twist of fate, Dylan finds himself growing closer to Gabrielle, but he soon learns that some things are meant to be and others are not.

Hospitalized after collapsing, Dylan discovers that one thing is missing in this new destiny, his much needed heart transplant. Unable to escape the inevitable, Dylan wakes up from his heart transplant to learn some devastating news. Gabrielle was killed in a hit and run accident, and much worse, she was his heart donor. Saddened over the loss of Gabrielle, Dylan thinks fate is against him.

However, what goes around comes around. The violent motorcycle accident that happened in his previous destiny happens again, only this time Dylan accepts his fate of death and doesn't come back.
